Bacterial decline

Bacterial wilt is caused by the bacterium Xanthomonas and occurs on Poa annua greens. A related disease, bacterial decline, is caused by the bacterium Acidovorax (and possibly several others) and occurs on bentgrass greens. With the possible exception of the product Daconil Action, which may be able to suppress, but not control these bacterial diseases (see below), management is strictly preventive and strictly cultural in nature.
