Brown ring patch

Brown ring patch (BRP) is triggered by threat temperatures greater than 60F (16C). Caused by the fungus Waitea circinata var. circinata, it is a relatively new disease that has been causing significant damage on poa greens. Although closely related to Rhizoctonia diseases in several ways, it differs markedly in several very important ways.
