In the never-ending search for an effective, safe tool for controlling annual bluegrass, USDA researcher Ann Kennedy has recently reported on the discovery of a new strain of the bacterium known as Pseudomonas fluorescens, which has some interesting activity in the lab against this troublesome weed.
