Article on new cool-season turf varieties

The results of a three-year study in which we evaluated 9 different salt tolerant varieties of perennial ryegrass and tall fescue are summarized in this article.
We found that new varieties of finer textured tall fescue, show real promise in both salt tolerance and drought tolerance. Their finer texture makes them quite acceptable for use in roughs, and perhaps even in fairways.
