Avoid the Primo rebound effect

Those who use Primo (trinexepac-–ethyl) for turf quality and growth suppression are aware that applications have to be timed carefully in order to avoid spurts of turf growth that can occur when Primo suppression wears thin. This is most likely to happen when treatments are scheduled by calendar (for example, every two weeks). This is because in warm weather, Primo activity will decay more rapidly; once Primo is gone from the system, turf growth shoots off at a gallop.
