Bermudagrass mite

The bermudagrass mite, Aceria cynodoniensis, is so tiny (0.006 - 0.008 inches in length—barely large enough to be seen even with a hand lens) that it's hard to believe it can cause so much trouble. Also sometimes known as the bermudagrass stunt mite, this pest does not have the spider-like appearance of many mites. Instead, it has a long and thin worm-shaped body, with only two pairs of legs.
