Bottom line: Gray leaf spot management

Gray leaf spot is one of the most devastating diseases on the golf course, taking out large swaths of ryegrass, fescue, St. Augustine and kikuyugrass, seemingly overnight. In some locations, conditions are becoming conducive to this disease, so now is a good time to summarize the current state of knowledge on the management of the gray leaf spot fungus, Pyricularia grisea (also sometimes listed as Magnaporthe grisea or Pyricularia oryzae).
