Dollar spot fungicide resistance

Yogi Bear is smarter than the average bear and dollar spot may be smarter than the average fungus. Earlier this year, we presented new information on xenobiotic detoxification of fungicides by the dollar spot fungus Sclerotinia homeocarpa. Xenobiotic detoxification results in resistance to fungicides caused by chemical transport systems in the fungus that package and excrete toxic materials from the fungus cells.
