Don't worry about low nitrogen

PACE Turf and others have made recommendations to withhold nitrogen inputs to slow turf growth during COVID-19 facility closures may cause some concerns. However, the temporary impact of low nitrogen can be (somewhat humorously) illustrated in the attached photo of a nitrogen-deprived fescue lawn with urine damage. The generally weak-looking lawn area rapidly recovered following the application of nitrogen (urine).
