Dr. Houston Couch: 1924- 2004

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Dr. Houston Couch, who died on Sunday, September, 12, 2004. There is hardly anyone in the turf industry who has not benefited from Houston’s experience, dedication and personal warmth—from his world-class textbook on turfgrass diseases, to his comprehensive and lively seminars, to his passion for his profession and for the people that he served as a researcher and as a mentor.
