Effect of irrigation distribution on soil salinity

Poor water quality is a concern anywhere irrigation is main source of water. In a recent study by Ganjegunte et. al. at Texas A&M Agrilife, El Paso, entitled "Soil salinity of an urban park after long-term irrigation with saline groundwater", the interaction bewtwen irrigation distribution and soil salt accumulation was highlighted.
