Effect of sulfonylurea herbicides on zoysiagrass

In a research report recently published in the journal Applied Turfgrass Science, scientists from the University of Kentucky and the University of Florida found that zoysiagrass is much more sensitive to sulfonylurea (SU) herbicides than bermudagrass is. The researchers tested 7 sulfonylurea herbicides on both cool and warm-season turf varieties during 2002 and again in 2003, but the most interesting results were on zoysiagrass.
