Fall prevention of dollar spot

Dr. James Murphy, Rutgers University (@JamesMurphy15916040 on Twitter) posted this photo of dollar spot damage taken on November 5th. The damage caused late in the season is likely to remain all winter because the bentgrass is unable to recover. The Smith-Kerns dollar spot model indicated that conditions were conducive for disease between October 27th and October 31st. Also note that Growth Potential (Cool GP%) dropped to 7% following the conducive dollar spot conditions. This is a double-whammy. The disease strikes…
