Finessing Waitea (brown ring patch) control

We recently observed an interesting case of brown ring patch (Waitea circinata) on poa/bent greens that provided some further insights on the behavior and control of this relatively new disease.
The story starts in late March of 2007, when a golf course in southern California treated their poa/bent greens with thiophanate-methyl (Systec, Cleary's 3336) for Microdochium patch/pink snow mold (yes, to everyone outside of California, snow mold is a common problem even here in sunny SoCal!)
