Following up on gypsum vs. calcium sulfate anhydrite solubility

We have previously evaluated the solubility of gypsum vs. calcium anhydrite soil amendments (see this video and this research report) and found that gypsum products went into solution much more rapidly than anhdyrite products. This raised questions about the usefulness of anhydrite products for sodium management. But what if we gave the products more time to go into solution — would the anhydrite products gradually catch up with the gypsum products?
