Fraise mowing for poa control

Fraise mowing works to control Poa annua (poa) infestations in bermudagrass, but recovery is slow. Carroll et.al. conducted fraise mowing trials at a Tennessee park on common bermuda mowed at 3.2 cm and a Florida golf course on TifSport hybrid bermuda mowed at 1.3 cm. There was no significant difference in poa control comparing fraise mowing at at the 1.5 cm depth to the 3.0 cm depth.
