Glyphosate resistant poa arrives

We have written in the past about the increased number and types of weeds that are resistant to Roundup (glyphosate). In many cases, these resistant weeds have developed as the result of massive plantings of genetically engineered corn, soybeans and cotton that have been designed to be resistant to glyphosate, and whose modified genes have jumped to native weed species. This has been a problem so far mostly in agriculture, and has not affected turf significantly.
