Gray leaf spot break-through

Gray leaf spot can become extremely aggressive when humidity and air temperature are high. In Southern California, kikyugrass recently succumbed to gray leaf spot even though the turf had been on a 21 day fungicide application schedule to prevent the disease. The likely cause of the disease break–through is the result of the limited duration of control from the products that were used in the preventive program when the turf is under high disease pressure.
