Gray leaf spot season begins

Dr. Phil Harmon of the University of Florida reports gray leaf spot attacked perennial ryegrass in Central Florida in the second week of May, 2013. Hot weather and high humidity during the first week of May from this area contributed to a high stress index reading that in turn resulted in disease development about 2 weeks later.
