Green June beetles

During the fall, you may run into this 1.5 inch long, lovely specimen of the insect world, the grub or larval stage of the green June beetle (Cotinis nitida). This photo was submitted by superintendent Mike Greninger CGCS of the Titleist/Acushnet Test Facility in Oceanside, CA.
