How many hours of sunlight does grass need?

I was asked about a potential backyard putting green and what the minimum amount of sunlight would be. This happens to be for hybrid bermudagrass (Cynodon dactylon x. C. transvaalensis), which at a low mowing height has the highest light requirement of any turfgrass I know of.
