How to get photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) data for your location

Have you ever wanted to get daily light integral (DLI) data for your location, but weren't sure where to find that type of data? It's usually a bit trickier to find the photosynthetically active radiation data than it is to find temperature or precipitation data.
One global data source is the NASA POWER data access viewer. To get the right data to calculate the DLI, these are the steps to take.
