La Niña likely by late summer

That's the latest forecast from the El Niño/Southern Oscillation (ENSO) diagnostic discussion: 65% chance of La Niña conditions developing in the July to September period, and an 85% chance of La Niña conditions persisting into the November (2024) to January (2025) period. The chart at right shows La Niña climate impacts globally.
