Magnaporthiopsis cynodontis

You have probably heard of Magnaporthe poae (summer patch on poa and bentgrass), but I'm guessing you have not heard of Magnaporthiopsis cynodontis. Like the causal agent for summer patch on poa and bent, this new disease produces dark ectotrophic runner hyphae and cause root discoloration and reduced root and shoot mass.
