Management options for billbugs: An update

Preventive control of billbugs is the most effective strategy, and there are several products that have performed well in university tests, including imidacloprid (Merit), clothianidin (Arena), thiamethoxam (Meridian) and chlorantraniliprole (Acelepryn). A new addition to this list is Syngenta's product, Ference, which is also a top performer. Of these products, the best results have been seen with Meridian (17 oz/A), Acelepryn (8 oz/A) and Ference (8 oz/A).
