Methyl iodide fumigant finally registered in California

Earlier this month, California became the 48th state to register methyl iodide (iodomethane) for use as a fumigant. It will be available as the product Midas (Arysta), but only as a restricted material, which means that it will require a use permit from the ag commissioner in the county where the application is planned. The products should be available by the end of December.
