Money for turf reduction

The Coachella Valley Water District, whose jurisdiction includes Palm Springs, CA, is now offering a golf course turf rebate program that offers eligible golf courses $15,000 per acre of turf removed, as long as the turf is replaced with low water use landscaping. This makes Coachella one of many regions within the drought stricken southwest to offer turf rebate programs to either home owners or golf courses.
