Moss - silver nitrate and bicarbonates

Moss control continues to be a challenge for many superintendents. This update will present some information on use of silver nitrate and sodium or potassium bicarbonate for moss control. The bottom line is that silver nitrate may be effective but it is not labeled for this use and it is therefore illegal to spray turfgrasses with silver nitrate solutions for pest control.
