New nematicide receives EPA registration

Ever since the Environmental Protection Agency announced the phase out of the nematicide Nemacur (fenamiphos), companies and end users have been scrambling to find effective substitutes.

The EPA registration, this month, of Bayer's Indemnify (fluopyram), may help to address this need. The product has been tested, with good results, against several different nematode pests including sting, root knot, ring and the stem gall nematode, \_Anguina pacificae\*.
