New potassium thesis

Benjamin Brace recently wrapped up his Master of Science in Agronomy at Penn State publishing his thesis entitled: "Potassium Fertilization and Stress Tolerance of Intensely Managed Creeping Bentgrass Putting Greens." Potassium is an essential nutrient for turfgrasses, but potassium is not needed at the high rates that have been applied in the past. According to Brace's research, "Under simulated duration of extreme drought and wear stress, K fertilizer treatments did not benefit the turfgrass canopy density or survival."
