Nitrogen in the driver's seat

Dr. Wayne Kussow, University of Wisconson, passed away on October 7, 2017. Dr. Kussow is responsible for clarifying the importance of nitrogen applications in the removal of other soil nutrients in turfgrass systems. His observations and understanding of turfgrass management provide the foundation for fertilizer management programs based upon Minimum Levels for Sustainable Nutrition (MLSN) and Growth Potential (GP).
