No phosphorus fertilizer for 16 years

I visited Bob Raley at Thousand Acres in western Maryland. The first nine holes at this course were planted to Penn A1/A4 creeping bentgrass in 2008. Bob applied 1 pound of P₂O₅/1000 ft2 at the time of seeding. That's 50 kg/ha of P₂O₅. That application was the only P those bentgrass greens have received in sixteen years.
