Normal sunshine and temperature, July

I've found it interesting and informative to make scatterplots of temperature and sunshine hours for different locations. The chart here is an example of this for the month of July, with the bubbles for each location sized by the normal amount of precipitation there in July.

From this type of chart, it's easy to see locations that have a similar growing environment in terms of temperature and light in July, and to find locations that are considerably different.
