Phosphorus revisited (again!!)

How low can soil phosphorus (P) be to support healthy turf growth? The answer is pretty damn low. The current MLSN soil guidelines for phosphorus suggest that 21 ppm Mehlich-3 extracted (M3) P is the desired level to support robust turf growth. The MLSN guideline value is based upon soil surveys, and we have seen even lower levels produce perfectly healthy grass.
