Photo of the week: anthracnose control failure

Anthracnose has been rearing its ugly head at several locations in the past few weeks. This photo, which shows how the acervuli produced by Colletotrichum cereale look under low magnification, should be an image that you hopefully never see this summer. Keep in mind that in many locations, anthracnose is resistant to QoI fungicides (Heritage, Insignia, Compass) and to thiophanate–methyl. Read more about anthracnose here.…
