Photo of the week: fairy ring and mites

I wouldn't have expected to see this. PACE Turf member Todd Lowe shared this image of bermudagrass in Florida, where it is common to see thinning turf during this season caused by infestations of bermudagrass mites. But this stand of bermudagrass has some fairy rings in it too. The fairy rings have thicker, greener bermudagrass than the areas outside the fairy rings.
