Photo of the week: more winter color in one C4 species

I hadn't noticed the difference in winter color retention in leaves of Stenotaphrum secundatum compared with Zoysia until this (northern hemisphere) winter. In Southeast Asia there's a lot more tropical carpetgrass (Axonopus compressus) than there is Stenotaphrum, so I don't see Stenotaphrum every day. And then there is the temperature.
