Photo of the week: rapid blight

Poa greens can be hit by rapid blight (Labyrinthula terrestris) anytime of year, but turf is particularly vulnerable when soil sodium levels exceed the 110 ppm guideline, or when soil salts exceed 2.0 dS/m. Several other cool-season varieties can also be hit by this pathogen.
