Photo of the week: shade effect on turf quality

I visited a golf course in Thailand with Tifeagle greens while the clubhouse was being renovated. There was a construction fence set up at the edge of the practice putting green. After only a few weeks of the fence being installed, and the grass experiencing the shade of the fence, a dramatic difference in turf quality developed between the turf at the edge of the green (in shade) and the turf in the center of the green (receiving more light).…
