Photo of the week: spring thermal convection frost patterns

I don't often see the discoloration of (usually) warm-season turfgrass caused by thermal convection patterns during cold weather in autumn or spring. This photo was taken in eastern Tennessee on April 13, four days after a frost on this 'Tahoma 31' bermudagrass rough.
