Predicting crabgrass and goosegrass germination

A cooperative project among researchers from the University of Padova in Italy and the USDA-ARS in Morris MN, has taken another look at the conditions needed for germination of annual summer weeds. As reported in the journal Weed Science, (March-April 2005) researchers Roberta Masin and colleagues looked at large crabgrass and goosegrass and attempted to develop better ways of predicting when they will germinate.
