QuickSilver receives EPA registration for control of moss on greens

On July 18, 2005, the EPA approved the use of QuickSilver (carfentrazone) on bentgrass greens and tees for control of silvery thread moss. A supplemental label outlines the use recommendations (for control of moss, the product is labeled at 2.0 - 6.7 oz/acre). Until the supplemental label was approved last week, use of this herbicide was not permitted on greens and tees.
