Sampling compacted soils

Fairway and rough soils are frequently compacted and difficult or impossible to sample using a standard soil probe. We use the Oakfield Model C 1.25 inch soil auger (with step saver bucket kit), which is an ideal tool for collecting difficult-to-sample soils.
