Sand quality control spreadsheet

We have developed an Excel spreadsheet to assist you in evaluating the results of sand particle size tests. For optimum use in greens root zones and topdressing, sands should meet USGA root zone specifications. We also recommend that for optimum sand performance, the distribution of the sand particle sizes be graded properly.
