Sand topdressing by the numbers

With the right amount of sand topdressing, turfgrass surfaces perform well. With too little sand, or too much sand, the surfaces have problems. We can't say exactly how much sand should be applied. That's a number that you can determine based on turfgrass performance and the type of turfgrass surface you are trying to produce.
