Snow mold ravaging poa greens

Over the past weeks of rainy weather in California, we have been confronted with several severe cases of snow mold (aka microdochium patch or fusarium patch) that have been difficult, if not almost impossible to get under control using standard methods. The samples come from Poa annua greens in both Northern and Southern California. Products such as iprodione (Chipco 26GT) that normally are quite effective have been producing poor results. What's going on?
