Sustainability gets scrutinized

A number of years ago, Dr Micah Woods at the Asian Turfgrass Center and PACE Turf wrote "Documenting your progress toward sustainability" for Golf Course Management. In the article, we set out to divest the word "sustainability" of the vagueness and trendiness that threaten to turn this important and useful term into a meaningless slogan. Our remedy? Apply science to help develop concrete tools for quantifying sustainability, and for measuring progress towards improved sustainability.
