Take–all patch on paspalum

The fungus Gaeumannomyces causes several diseases that attack the roots of both cool and warm season turf. In the U.S., we see this fungus causing damage on both kikuyugrass and paspalum in the form of decline–type symptoms. Roots are attacked by the fungus, which results in moisture and nutrient stress, which in turn causes thinning and yellowing/browning of the foliage in irregularly shaped patches.
