The frost is on the pumpkin

We've heard it used for years, but never knew where the silly expression, "the frost is on the pumpkin" came from (see the bottom of this Update if you're interested). Silly expressions aside, the point is that thoughts of pumpkins and frost signal that it's time to schedule some preventive actions around the golf course.
