The development of a group of new herbicides in the sulfonylurea family may assist in achieving smoother springtime transitions, without damage to bermudagrass. Preliminary research indicates that new products such as Manor, Blade, Monument, Revolver and TranXit are potentially useful tools for removal of perennial ryegrass and Poa trivialis on overseeded fairways, and do not cause damage to bermudagrass, regardless of the time of year they are applied.
